Y. Nagasaki has had numerous exhibitions all over the world.He was nominated for the Taiyo-Show Award as one of the most promising contemporary documentary photographers in Japan in 1994. More recently, he was the 1st prize winner of the M.I.L.K. Photo Competition juried by Elliott Erwitt of Magnum Photos, which was exhibited at Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall.
PDG offers Y.Nagasaki as a photographer/chronicler of New York City's underbelly. The images, are harsh in depiction and content; not for the squeemish or prudish...I remember some of the Broadway theaters' matinee crowd we had as guests on 47th Street- actually run out of the gallery screaming when they saw these pictures!! So I knew I had to buy some of 'em...
Each of the photographs is #1 in Y. Nagasaki's first addition of 10 prints, which were shown for the first time at P.D.G.Art Gallery on 47th Street,N.Y.C.
